How did we find our innovators?
We took a different and new approach in the café+co Group by asking colleagues to apply for the project - internationally and interdisciplinary. In doing so, we deliberately broke with standard practice, which involves managers nominating people who are then ‘allowed’ to work on the project.
When employees apply voluntarily, they show their passion and bring intrinsic motivation with them. This creates room for openness and encourages creativity - the basic ingredients for our strategy process.
Our success proves us right!
The work of this project team, the café+co Explorer, inspires us and illustrates the enormous added value that interdisciplinary and international teams bring to our company. Working together as equals across all hierarchies shows us that it is within our own power to develop the café+co Group further together.
