50 years of café+co - 3 questions to the managing directors

We are convinced that everyone deserves the perfect break. This is what drives us. Because time is precious. In the ever faster pace of everyday life, we give time, time for the little pleasures, time for the best break. And we have been doing this for over 50 years now. This is certainly a reason for us to celebrate, but it is also an opportunity to look at our development and that of the market in order to look to the future with optimism and joy. Our Managing Directors Thomas Lindenbauer and Fritz Kaltenegger, who both agree on how we can achieve this: ‘In an increasingly globalised and interconnected world, it is crucial for companies to recognise the challenges of the future at an early stage and take appropriate action.’

Why does café+co actually exist? What would be missing if café+co didn't exist?

We bring joy to workplaces and create shared break moments full of joy in challenging everyday life. We enable employees in companies to be optimally supplied with coffee, cold drinks and fresh, handmade snacks. We rely on modern technologies and innovative approaches to meet the needs of customers and employees in the best possible way. Our everyday lives would probably be greyer if it weren't for café+co.

What gives you energy and motivation in your daily work?

My motivation is our employees. We work professionally and as equals - with each other, with customers and with partners. Moments of small pleasures that we make possible for our customers also motivate me in my day-to-day work. Simply sharing a coffee with colleagues is inspiring and energising. Seeing progress and success in the company and knowing that my work has an impact on the growth and success of the company gives me energy and motivation.what gives you energy and motivation in your daily work?

What does the future of café+co look like for you?

We have to adapt to social changes and react flexibly. We utilise technical possibilities to make work easier for employees and to better serve our customers. Climate change, sustainability and energy consumption are key issues, as is retaining employees in our company. To remain successful, we need to think more short-term and embrace change with an open mind and curiosity. Critically questioning changes in consumer behaviour is essential in order to understand what customers really need. To achieve this, we need cohesion and the knowledge and experience of all café+co employees.

Thomas Lindenbauer has been with the company since 1993 and was an authorised signatory for many years before taking over as Managing Director of café+co Austria in 2007.

Fritz Kaltenegger has been Managing Director of café+co International Holding since 2017.
